A Press conference about the manuscripts of Shekh Latif Dansaz family

Zheen center held a press conference on 30/10/2010 at 10:05 am., the conference was about the donation of all the Manuscript collection of Shekh Latif Dansaz to (manuscripts section) by his family.The local media channels attended the press conference.

First, Sidiq Salih the management board member of Zheen center mentioned the importance of manuscripts and the duty of collecting and preserving them, and he added that unfortunately a specialized governmental agency for this purpose has not established yet, later Mamosta Hussen Hassan the head of manuscripts section mentioned those manuscripts which are (110) manuscripts and the oldest one dating back to (1379/781 Hijri), they contain Islamic religion sciences and Arabic language. Then Mr. Shekh Baba Ali Shekh Latif Dansaz stated that their family considers those manuscripts a national heritage and they trust Zheen center as a trustful center to protect that national heritage, therefore, they donated those documents in order to be preserved and studied in the center.

Zheen center hopes that this great attitude of Shekh Latif family will encourage other families and personalities to support the center with donating historical manuscripts.
